MD ophthalmology colleges with number of seats for studying MD ophthalmology in Nepal

We have put together the latest data on the total number of seats allocated for the MD ophthalmology program all over Nepal in different Medical colleges as dictated by Medical Education Commission. With a slight fluctuation, the distribution is expected to continue as below over the years:

*this was National board of medical specialty (NBMS) distributed seat applicable for the entry year 2079 (or 2022 AD) only.  

So, when someone asks, how many MD ophthalmologists are produced per year, then the annual production of ophthalmologists starting from the year 2024 is around 50. A total of 15 medical institutes are running the three year MD ophthalmology training course.
