How many universities are there in Nepal? Till December 2023, there are 17 universities in Nepal and many more are still on the verge of establishment.

The name list of Nepalese universities is as follows

Above 12 universities are established by the Central (federal) government. After the republican system, province government can also offer approval to establish new university. Below are the universities as sanctioned by the provincial governments.
