How to participate in TU Convocation Ceremony?

Attend Tribhuvan University Convocation ceremony by the following process. 

The time period for filling the form is normally 1 month prior and the period to get the gown is normally one week prior to the convocation date. The gown are distributed from Balkhu, TU exam controller office, even in weekend holidays.

As a fresh graduate (Bachelor, Master, M. Phil or PhD), who wishes to participate in the convocation ceremony of TU you have to follow the following steps:

1.      Pay the fee according to your level as determined by TU

The fee structures are as follows:

Masters / M. Phil	Rs. 2700	Rs. 1500	Rs. 300/person

Amount can be deposited in the following two banks ONLY

2.      Fill the online Form at http://tuexam.edu.np/convocation/

You will need the following information for filling the online forms:

Grace Number: You can find the grace number in the above link. Only thing you need to do is entering the level on the first tab and then entering the TU registration number (or name) in the second tab. Click at "Find Grace." You will get the number.

The voucher details of the payment you have done: name of the bank and the transaction ID or voucher number.

3.      In the Convocation form and gown hire slip, write the name in Devanagiri (Preeti Font)

4.      Upload a photo in 300kb to 1 Mb range. If you have a large sized photo just open it with Microsoft Picture Manager by right-clicking the photo. Select Edit and on the right panel of the screen there is "compress" option. Click on the compress in 'document" option. Save the picture now which is of lower size. You can repeat the process to the new file if the document needs to be further reduced in size.

5.      The money paid for the gown will be refunded to your account after deducing Rs 300 as a hire charge. So, you need to provide your bank details as well.

6.      You must enter your mobile number and email address.

7.  You must upload the front page of your citizenship certificate or passport. So first scan it and then upload it in the desired section.

8.  Agree "terms and conditions"

9.  Click on 'submit' button.

10.  Go the prefixed venue (generally the ceremony is held in TU ground or Pulchok Engineering college ground. But you have to confirm the venue) before 10.

11. Don't make plans to meet friends on the ground because due to congestion your mobile network will be too busy to connect to your friends. For example when the program is in TU ground, meet at Baneshwor and go together. I would like to remind you: last year (2019 AD), there were 10 thousands students plus on a same ground gathered for the ceremony. There will be a big crowd to happen to meet your friends casually.

12. If you are gold medalist or PhD graduate, then please sit in the front line because you have to go to the stage to receive certificates. Otherwise, you can stay wherever you like.
